Ohhh, Lille.
The Citadel at Lille is now a park and zoo. On Sunday afternoons half the town and their dogs show up. We also saw the Porte de Paris. I think American towns need some giant gates like this one.
At the Palais des Beaux-Arts we saw more gigantic Renaissance and 17th Century paintings than I've ever seen before in one place. No wonder the ceilings are so high in those old buildings - they needed somewhere to put the 20 foot canvases.
