Douai

Yes, this is the town that Jamel is writing his dissertation about. There's a nice museum with a model of the town as it looked in 1709 and some nice medieval art. We had a quick lunch here with a side of Pain Frites. That would be a small baguette topped with french fries. We weren't sure if you're supposed to eat the bread or not.

Tour des Dames, Douai, as it is today (see round tower on the left, below). It's part of a nice park. There were high school students measuring the path and running laps in the park.
